Founding & history
St Catherine’s Convent was opened by the Cabra Dominicans in January 1957 for boys and girls from Grade 1 to Standard 4. In 1958 the Standard 6 class was introduced and progressed to Standard 10 in 1962. When La Salle College opened in Discovery the boys moved there and St Catherine’s became a school for girls only.

St Catherine's strives to prepare girls to become valued members of society, to have confidence in themselves and fidelity to their values, by the provision of complete, sustainable Catholic and Christian education.
