"The Second Mile" piloting begins
"The Second Mile", an instrument for Catholic
schools to review their distinctive Catholic character, developed by the
Ethos Committee of the Catholic Schools Board, is now being piloted in
four schools in the dioceses of Pretoria and Johannesburg. Schools reflect
on their ethos, religious education programme and pastoral care practices
in the review process. Once feedback has been received from the pilot
schools, the Ethos Committee of the Catholic Schools Board will offer the
Review to all schools.

New
logo
The Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Pretoria and the Diocese
of Johannesburg has a new "logo".
The design of the logo is intended to reflect something of the two
dioceses the Office serves.

APPOINTMENT OF BISHOP’S REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE CATHOLIC SCHOOLS IN
THE DIOCESE OF
JOHANNESBURG
Archbishop Buti Tlhagale has appointed Sister Jordana Rechtien OP as his
representative for the schools in the Diocese of Johannesburg. Sr Jordana
will act for the archbishop in the schools of the diocese.
The Catholic Schools Office looks forward to collaborating with Sr Jordana
and to a closer relationship of our Johannesburg schools with Archbishop
Buti Tlhagale.
