Brief history
In response to an invitation of Bishop David O'Leary, Bishop Hugh Boyle and Fr W Nolan to establish Catholic schools for the children of the parish of St Charles, the Holy Cross Sisters and the De La Salle Brothers founded schools in Victory Park, in 1954 and 1958 respectively. In 1986 the two schools were amalgamated into De La Salle Holy Cross College. 

The college and parish have enjoyed an intertwining history from the beginning which has created a supportive and enriching religious environment for all who have shared the De La Salle Holy Cross experience.

St Charles Parish celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2000, while 2004 saw the Jubilee of 100 years service in South Africa of the De La Salle Brothers and 50 years of the Holy Cross Sisters in Victory Park.

2004 was fittingly celebrated by a number of spiritual, social and fund-raising events embracing the entire College community, as well as the construction of additional offices and classrooms and the Jubilee Centre, a lasting tribute to the Brothers and Sisters and all associated with the College over the years.

The Primary and High Schools are located on separate campuses on either side of Road No.3.
