La Salle College Discovery is a Lasallian Catholic school founded in 1966 by the De La Salle Brothers. The College is situated on the West Rand and is set in large tranquil grounds, lending a country atmosphere to a city setting. In January 2006 a new chapter began with the enrolment of girls. The College now caters for boys and girls from Grade R to Grade 12.
Against a backdrop of Christian values based on the teachings and vision of St John Baptist De La Salle, the Patron Saint of Teachers, La Salle College aims to bring out the best in each learner and has a tradition of pursuing excellence, innovation and social justice within the context of care for the individual learner.
